Welcome to the IMES Library

Hello, students and families!

The IMES library strives to create an active learning environment where students learn to be  responsible users and producers of information, practice good digital citizenship, and learn to make healthy media choices. In addition, the IMES library program is designed to develop a community of readers, who will continue to read for information and pleasure throughout their lives.

Summer Reading 2024

Check out this year's elementary summer reading challenge here!

In our library program, we utilize parts of the Common Sense Media curriculum to expose students to a variety of concepts of digital citizenship: self-image & identity, relationships & communication, digital footprint & reputation, cyberbullying, information literacy, copyright, internet safety, and privacy & security.

We also host book chats with visiting authors, learn research skills, play games which fold in digital and ELA skills and more!

Looking forward to another wonderful year,

Mrs. Hoffman
